Fake Steve Schmidt and Friends

Please stop with all the economy stuff. My heart is broken.

Political campaigns, especially presidential ones, can be brutal on the soul. It is all too easy to get caught in constant crossfire of negativity. So far I think I’ve been handling the bruises pretty well, even in the last few weeks when the press has grown a pair been particularly nasty and biased. My faith was shaken but not defeated, that is until today.  The last remaining pillar of journalistic excellence has fallen. That which stood alone and proud (like a fucking bald eagle) has now sunk to the same depths as trash like the New York Times and the Economist. It hurts me to say it, but…

Us Weekly has turned against us like all the others.

And they’re even calling John McCain a celebrity. But we only hired her because everyone knows I love David Archuleta so much. First they rob me of the REAL idol named David, not that ass-busted phoney, and now they’re robbing me of my candidate’s totally accurate non-celebrity status.

Sigh.

I still think about you every day, David. I’ll never forget you.
