On Message: quirky human interest stories more powerful than “issues”

In Cindy, Financial Crisis, health care, McCain, Palin on September 20, 2008 at 9:06 pm

Despite what all the public polls show, our own “internal” polls are showing that the human interest angle of having a woman VP candidate from a weird place is definitely working as the new campaign message!  Most voters [that are diehard mccain supporters] have forgotten that their empty wallets and bad health care have anything to do with government at all, let alone the election.

Good work, team!

Stay on message with more human interest distractions.  Possibilities include:

  • Cindy baking cookies with just a few of the kids
  • John drinking beer/watching football with the guys
  • Spanish-language story hour at library (Does anyone read Spanish? Are Spanish-speaking kids cute enough to air in tv spots?)
  • Can we schedule an appearance with a Grizzly bear for Sarah?

Remember, this is not a debate, folks, this is an election.
